But what if…

1. It’s just me, this sounds like it’s so much food…… Plan with your roommate, significant other or partner, maybe even enroll your neighbor. Cooking together is always more fun! You can cut the recipes in half and have leftovers for the week.

2. I have a family to cook for….. Each recipe is 4 servings and designed for more than 1 and for leftovers. You can always double the recipes for leftovers or know that your family probably won’t eat together all of the time. You’ll still get all of the fun food facts, healthy tips, quick and easy cooking ideas and new recipes!

3. I’m a vegetarian….. Perfect. All of the meals are vegetarian based.

4. I can’t afford “healthy food”….. How much do you spend on Starbucks? That bag of chips or candy you picked up for a quick snack? Eating out? Your grocery bill may be slightly higher than usual, but remember you are cooking ALL of your meals in advance. Think about how many meals that you didn’t make yourself last week. How many did you eat out or go to a restaurant for (lets call this “O”)? Now add that by how many times you ordered in or picked up your already prepped food (I). Then think about the average amount (M) you spend on those meals. Now do the math (O+I) x M= $ <– That’s how much you spend on food not at the grocery store. One of my clients saved $500 on food over our six months of working together (and she wasn’t eating lavish dinners every night).

5. I have a friend’s birthday dinner, work luncheon, and brunch date that’s not factored into the calendar…… That’s ok, you don’t have to eat your leftovers the next day.
Put them in your freezer.
OR
Invite more people over for dinner (social time) so you don’t have the leftover food for lunch the next day and can go to that work luncheon.
OR
Feel free to only do half of the week now then save the other half for next week. Bam, two birds with one stone and no extra planning for next week!

6. I don’t like leftovers….. You can cut the recipe in half and only cook half of it when you’re ready to eat. Do all the prep work the first day then the next day just cook the second half. I will say though you are going to be doing just under twice as much work. I always say cook once, eat twice (P.s. that’s one of the quick and easy cooking tips).

7. I don’t like going to the grocery store….. Then have someone do the shopping for you! Recruit your partner or whomever you are going to do this with to do the shopping and you’ll do more of the cooking or clean up.
